Job Summary/Responsibilities

Provides positive customer service skills. Check in and out equipment in the times provided. Maintain and repair all outdoor equipment available. Each semester, complete a summary of all equipment available; usable, broken and repair as needed. As well as data collection on the frequency of equipment used and student survey. Report any lost, stolen or late equipment to program manager as soon as it happens. Call customers after equipment is late and place holds on accounts only the request of the program manager. Answer phones and assist customers coming into the Office. Register customers for Eco Adventure trips. Promotion of the Eco Adventure Program at various scheduled events. Collect future program and equipment interest through surveys.

Required Qualifications

Walking up to 4 miles carrying 50lbs. Running (at least 1 mile) on uneven terrain, lifting a weight of at least 50 lbs. Knowledge of construction and power tolls and ability to use them. Comfortable with computers and manage multiple calendars. Working in all Florida climates – rain or shine. Working near animals, plants and insects that can bite sting or poison. Remain calm and think logically during first-aid and emergency circumstances. High School Diploma & Driver’s License. Must have a positive attitude. Can follow written or verbal instructions. Can communicate effectively with staff and public in writing or verbally.

CPR & First-Aid Certified (can be accomplished within first 60 days of work).
