General Description / Primary Purpose

Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing. Part-time faculty position available August 2018 in COA accredited Nurse Anesthetist program.

The successful candidate will:
- Provide academic didactic and simulation instruction to doctoral students in nurse anesthesia
- Mentor students and serve as an effective professional role model
- Chair student generated DNP projects
- Participate, at a level consistent with fractional employment commitment, in activities and governance responsibilities at the Program, School of Nursing, College and University levels
- Maintain an active CRNA practice

Faculty Position Required Qualifications

Basic/Minimum:
- Graduate of a COA accredited program in Nurse Anesthesia
- Currently credentialed as an ARNP (Nurse Anesthetist) by the Florida Board of Nursing
- Currently certified/recertified as a CRNA by the NBCRNA
- A doctorate in Nursing (DNP preferred) or closely related field
- Holders of a non-nursing doctorate must have a graduate degree in nursing.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a practicing CRNA
- At least one year experience teaching in a COA accredited CRNA program.

A pre-employment background check is performed on candidates selected for employment.
