General Description / Primary Purpose

The Coordinator Marketing Publications, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.

Essential Duties

Job Function

Design, layout, and publication of various print and online admissions recruitment collateral pieces, brochures, advertisements, posters, displays, fliers and other publications and communications. Works closely with vendors to ensure files are print-ready and contain all necessary artwork, links and fonts. Works closely with director to ensure all online and web files are publication ready and contain all necessary artwork, links and fonts. Responsible for maintaining consistent messaging through the development and design process. Works with vendors to obtain quotes for the printing of publications as well as promotional items used by Enrollment Services in our marketing efforts. Ensure all design requests are well developed and completed by the deadline. Works closely with University Marketing to ensure publications include relevant branding, messaging, diversity and inclusion.

Job Function

Assists in the design and creation of communications within the Banner EM system. Online communication, online advertisements, digital display and social media design. Completes other duties as assigned including participation in a variety of admissions related events that take place on campus as well as in remote locations. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Required Qualifications

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Departmental Requirements

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and 2 years of relevant experience. Significant experience in pre-press, photography, promotions, marketing management or working within the Florida educational system in a professional communications capacity is a plus. A working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, CRM, CMS and basic Mac and PC operating systems. Experience and education, which emphasizes an understanding of the special needs of higher education, is preferred. Ability to work as part of a dynamic and collaborative team. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; outstanding organizational and time management skills; verbal and written skills; recruitment and public relations experience preferred. Must have experience working with printers and other industry vendors and experience in developing procedures for publication management.
