General Description / Primary Purpose

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Initiative, the School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Manufacturing Engineering, as an Assistant Professor. Teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected of the successful candidate, along with a demonstrated ability to establish/ conduct a productive research program. Candidates with a combined research interest in the areas of manufacturing systems and industrial automation will be preferred. Collegiality, active service, and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected. Required Qualifications: An earned doctorate in manufacturing engineering or a closely related field is required. Teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected of the successful candidate, along with a demonstrated ability to establish/ conduct a productive research program.

Preferred Qualifications: A Professional Engineer license and industrial experience are desired but not necessary.
