Job Summary/Responsibilities

Responsibility include but are not limited to: assisting in orientation preparations, both small and large group presentations, assisting with registration, running errands and working on projects with the Undergraduate Studies Staff.
ACE Student Peer Advisors are a select group of knowledgeable, motivated, and enthusiastic student members of the ACE professional advising team who represent Academic Center for Excellence in a professional manner while assisting with individual or small group registration and advising activities for University of North Florida students in the following ways:
Consistently provide all students accurate summer/fall/spring course selection assistance in a positive and caring manner and show respect for their confidentiality.
Assist student with registering for their courses online through MyWings.
Use Effective problem-solving techniques to assist students with resolving registration holds, registration error messages, time conflicts, etc.
Foster relationships with Freshman advisees to enhance the sense of community at UNF by offering support, guidance, and experienced-based insight from the student perspective and serving as a resource when question regarding UNF gender education course, lower level curriculum requirements, and/or additional Undergraduate services (i.e., tutoring, academic coaching, supplemental instruction, etc) arise.

Required Qualifications

1. Must be eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS).
2. Must have begun enrollment at UNF as a freshman or sophomore student.
3. Must have completed at least 12 credit hours at UNF and currently be a full time student
4. Must have a GPA 3.0 or higher.
Work during hour of ACE operation.

Preferred Qualifications

Have a strong work ethic and good interpersonal communication skill.
