Assist the Fine Arts Center staff at events by directing patrons, taking tickets, showing patrons to their seats, handing out programs, assisting with setup/teardown of activities in the lobby, acting as security for performers, and a myriad of other tasks.

Because of the nature of show business, this is NOT a steady job. Ushers are notified, by e-mail, of a month’s events approximately one week before the month begins. It is an usher’s responsibility to respond about which events they would like to work. Assignment to events is on a first reply, first assigned basis.

Evaluations will be conducted for all usher personnel. These evaluations will be uniform, objective, and conducted by the House Managers. This will provide an opportunity to discuss any issues and determine a mutual plan of action for continual improvement. FWS Employees report to Andrea Snell.

High school diploma. Must be available on night and weekends.

Applicants for this position MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR AND ACCEPT Federal Work Study Funding, must be enrolled in at least six semester hours and must have met satisfactory academic progress requirements in order to receive financial aid.

Customer service and theatre experience preferred.
